BREAST LIFT (Mastopexy)
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, and aging can significantly alter breast shape when the breast tissue is elastic. The breasts may become droopy and lose firmness.
In cases of significant breast ptosis, silicone implants alone are not sufficient to restore an appropriate breast shape. A combined breast lift and augmentation may then be recommended.
Surgical principles
The procedure involves:
· repositioning of the breast and nipple–areola complex,
· removal of excess skin,
· reshaping of the glandular tissue to achieve a natural and stable result.
After surgery
Recovery is generally rapid. Patients with non-physically demanding occupations may return to work after approximately one week.
During the first week, heavy lifting, driving, and activities that may strain the pectoral muscles should be avoided.
Strenuous physical exercise must be avoided for one month.
The sutures are absorbable and do not require removal.
The cost of the surgery includes a medical-grade support bra, which must be worn continuously for the first month, day and night.
